As close to natural perfection as you can get...

...Murren, Switzerland, that's the answer to the title of the blog post. I've never seen a place like this, during either this trip, or any of the 41 of the 50 states I've visited. Phenomenal, incredible, magnificent; choose any sort of synonym for awesome or grandiose that you can think of, and apply it to this place, and you'll be spot on.

This post is effectively a glorified status update for now, as it's 1:50am here, and bed is calling. The old-fashioned down comforters here in our Alpine hideaway coupled with the crisp, fresh mountain air is the best invitation to sleep you could possibly ask for. Anyhow, we've had a great evening here at the hotel, chatting with the owner/bartender, a Portuguese woman who's been here 10 years, and the waiter/bartender, a fanatic Arsenal fan from southern Sweden. Obviously we've immediately bonded given our common interest, and will be watching the Manchester United/Manchester City (title deciding most likely) match tomorrow afternoon, even here high up in the remote Alps, through the miracles of satellite television. I'll try to post a full blog tomorrow or Tuesday, with a recap of our last 2 days in Munich and train travels on Sunday.

Auf wiedersehen!
